And I like to participate in our weekly game thread and I need to be up to the second.
But if I wanted to do it, I would probably stream the radio on the Browns app on my phone and send it to my receiver via Bluetooth. That should provide enough of a delay, right? Then I would watch the video through an antenna on my tv. My tv can pause live so I could mess with that to sync with the audio stream. CTownPSU said Getting a live stream of the radio feed is easy I can do it through my Echo but when I tried it for the Dallas game, the feed was about 3 minutes or so behind live action on the TV.
There was no way I wanted to try and match them up. So I listened to the post-game radio program after the game, and got to hear Donovan's calls there. I had everything lined up perfectly last week and it was basically by accident. I also had a buffstream going on my PC which has a 30 inch monitor. The stream was behind the live TV about half of one play. I muted the buffstream on my PC and wore my headphones on only one ear. I also had the radio sync going off the Browns site since a home game and was able to line it up with the buffstream.
It literally worked the whole game this way where I could hear and watch the live action on my TV out of one ear, then listen to the radio feed concurrently while watching the buffstream out of the headphone ear. Got to hear the TV announcers and then hear Donovan and Deke while basically watching a replay.
I really liked that setup, and it is wild hearing the different viewpoints of the game between the national TV guys and the local radio folks. You must connect your own radio tuned to the desired broadcast and your own headphones or speakers through which the delayed audio will be played.
This requires additional third-party adapters for your iPhone, iPod, or iPad. Do not purchase this app unless you already have the necessary adapters or are willing to buy them. To use RadioSync, you just need to get your radio audio signal into your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, and then plug in something that will let you listen to the delayed audio feed.
On the input end, you will need an audio input adapter; and on the output end, you will need headphones or speakers. Some example setups are below. You just need to pause the live broadcast and wait for the app to catch up because streaming is usually behind traditional TV broadcasts.
A trick is to listen for a bull horn or whistle while watching the TV broadcast and pause it immediately. Then, when you hear that same bull horn or whistle un-pause the DVR.
